Count Alexandre De Lesseps Net Worth is$50 Million
Count Alexandre De Lesseps Net Worth,
Count Alexandre de Lesseps, as his fancy name might suggest, has an estimated net worth of approximately $50 million. This net worth was mostly accumulated as a result of his ascendancy from the famous architect Ferdinand de Lesseps, developer of the Suez Canal. De Lesseps also worked hard to achieve a sea level Panama Canal, but this project was devastated by Yellow Fever and Malaria. He is currently most famous for having been formerly married to The Real Housewives of New York City star LuAnn de Lesseps with which he has two children. This wasn't the de Lesseps' first brush with show business however. Back in 1938, the de Lesseps sued the makers of the film Suez for what they perceived to be inaccuracies in the production. Even though they divorced in 2009, LuAnn is keeping Alexandre's name, despite the fact that "de Lesseps" can be difficult for some people to spell and pronounce correctly. Holding the title of "count," Alexandre is proud of his status as an aristocratic nobleman of Europe, but it is unknown if he uses the term "count" in social situations. It remains to be seen what the Count's role in the upcoming seasons of The Real Housewives of New York City will be. Alexandre is also an entrepreneur, investment banker, and pioneer of micro financing in developing countries. He served as President of Coral Capital Limited of London and Pandaw Investment Holdings in Hong Kong. He is co-founder and President of Blue Orchard Finance S.A. of Geneva, a leading microfinance management company. Count Alexandre de Lesseps was born in Paris, France on May 20th 1949. His education took place in Khartoum, France and Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He served in the Military in France, where he was enrolled in the film department. He went on to become the producer of TV films with TelFrance in Paris, Inter Tel in Munich and Tevetia in Switzerland. He became the CEO of Intertel USA Inc and Tanit Productions, in Los Angeles, in 1984. He founded the company Les Laboratories de I'Atlantiques in 1986, which is a French personal care manufacturer. He is also the president of that company. He became manager, in the late 80's, of a private equity fund in Asia, due to his increased interest in emerging market. He went on to become an advisor of a Fund Management firm in Hong Kong. He received the Fulbright Humanitarian Award in 2004.
