The first one was for the 1980 song of the year "HE'S ALIVE" and the second was 1980 songwriter of the year. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on February 28, 1946. Don is the son of Clyde T. Francisco a Christian seminary professor. Francisco started his music career in the secular folk-rock music that was popular in the mid 1960's. Don had an experience he believed to be supernatural that changed the direction of his life. He rededicated his life to God and changed his personal and musical direction. He lives in Colorado with his recording artist and graphic artist wife Wendy. Francisco's musical style is fairly distinctive, even among Christian musicians.
