George Wallace net worth: George Wallace is an American actor and comedian who has a net worth of $10 million dollars. George Wallace was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and went on to attend the University of Akron with degrees in Transportation, Marketing, and Advertising. He began focusing on a career in comedy while he was still in high school, and moved to New York to pursue a comedy career full-time after finishing college. He worked in an advertising agency to make ends meet. He began to make a name for himself in the late 70s, and became popular performing a stand-up routine that featured him as a fictional preacher named Reverend Dr. George Wallace. He also began writing for comedy shows, such as "The Redd Foxx Show". He has since gone on to a steady career in both film and television productions, as well as being named 1995?s "Best Male Standup Comedian" at the American Comedy Awards. Some of his projects include, "Punchline", "Tall Hopes", "In the Heat of the Night", "Moesha", "Arli$$", "The Parkers", "Scrubs", "House of Payne", and "Sullivan and Son".
George Corley Wallace Jr. (August 25, 1919 ??? September 13, 1998) was an American politician and the 45th governor of Alabama, having served two nonconsecutive terms and two consecutive terms: 1963???1967, 1971???1979 and 1983???1987. Wallace has the third longest gubernatorial tenure in post-Constitutional U.S. history at 5,848 days. After four runs for U.S. president (three as a Democrat and one on the American Independent Party ticket), he earned the title "the most influential loser" in 20th-century U.S. politics, according to biographers Dan T. Carter and Stephan Lesher.
A 1972 assassination attempt left Wallace paralyzed, and he used a wheelchair for the remainder of his life. He is remembered for his Southern populist andsegregationist attitudes during the desegregation period. He eventually renounced segregationism but remained a populist.

The first of four children, Wallace was born in Clio in Barbour County in southeastern Alabama, to George Corley Wallace, Sr., and his wife Mozell Smith. He was the third of four generations to bear the name "George Wallace." Since his parents disliked the designation "Junior", he was called "George C." to distinguish him from his father, George, and his grandfather, a physician. Wallace's father had left college to pursue a life of farming when food prices were high during World War I; when he died in 1937, his wife had to sell their farmland to pay existing mortgages. Like his parents, George Wallace was a Methodist.
From age ten, Wallace was fascinated with politics. In 1935, he won a contest to serve as a page in the Alabama Senate and confidently predicted that he would one day be governor. Wallace became a regionally successful boxer in high school, then went directly to law school in 1937 at the University of Alabama School of Law in Tuscaloosa. He was a member of the Delta Chi Fraternity. After receiving a LL.B. degree in 1942, he entered pilot cadet training in the United States Army Air Corps. H
