Marcus Dupree net worth: Marcus Dupree is a former professional football player who has a net worth of $10 thousand. Marcus Dupree earned his net worth through his career in the USFL and the NFL. In 1984 Dupree signed with the USFL playing for the New Orleans Breakers. Because of injuries he had to sit out most of his games, but in 1985 Dupree earned the starting position for the season opener against the Arizona Outlaws. While in that game he suffered a severe knee injury and had to be carried off the field. This ended his career with the USFL. After recuperating and working hard at getting the strength back in his knee, he signed with the NFL Los Angeles Rams in 1990, but in 1991 he once again suffered an injury and had to sit out the first seven games. Just before the 1992 season began, Dupree was cut from the team because his coach, Chuck Knox felt that his performance wasn't what he needed it to be. Marcus Dupree decided to retire soon after. He then became a USWA Professional Wrestler as well as being busy running a sports bar and working in a casino. Marcus Dupree was born in Philadelphia, Mississippi in 1964 and attended Philadelphia High School where he played as a wide receiver and a kickoff and punt returner, but in his second year was switched to wide back. During his senior year he broke the national high school record for total touchdowns. Texas, Oklahoma, UCLA and Southern Mississippi all wanted to recruit Dupree, but his final decision was to go with Oklahoma where he was named second team All-American, first team all-Big Eight Conference and Big Eight Newcomer of the Year. After suffering injuries, including a concussion, he decided to disappear for a few days and when he returned he left Oklahoma to go to the University of Southern Mississippi, but stayed for only three months after being told he would have to sit out the 1984 season. To tell the story about the career of Marcus Dupree, Willie Morris wrote the book "The Courting of Marcus Dupree." ESPN 30 on 30 also did a documentary on Dupree's career entitled "The Best That Never Was."
