Rob Ford net worth: Rob Ford is a Canadian politician and businessman who has a net worth of $50 million dollars. Rob Ford was born in Etobicoke, Ontario, Canada, and was originally focused on a career in football. The child of very wealthy parents, he spent summers attending special football camps with the Washington Redskins and the University of Notre Dame. He went on to attend Carleton University and made the football team. He did not play in any games his freshman year, and dropped out of school before his sophomore year. He began working in sales and coaching high school football. In 2000, he began serving the first of three terms as City Councillor for Ward 2 of Etobicoke North. In 2010, he was elected Mayor of Toronto. His tenure as Mayor has been fraught with issues, as he has used city letterhead to raise funds for the high school football team he continued to coach, wrote multiple letters of reference for convicted felons, including a convicted murderer, and mismanaged the budget. He was recently stripped of much of his Mayoral powers, after footage was released of him snorting crack cocaine while in a drunken stupor. The business Rob Ford's father started, Deco Labels, is extremely successful. The multi-national printing and labeling business earns an estimated $100 million in revenues per year and has made the Ford family extremely wealthy.
Robert Bruce "Rob" Ford (born May 28, 1969) is a Canadian politician and businessman. He is the sixty-fourth and current Mayor of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Ford was elected mayor in the 2010 mayoral election, and took office on December first of that year.
Prior to being mayor, Ford was city councillor for a ward in the Toronto district of Etobicoke. He was first elected to city council in the 2000 Toronto municipal election, and was reelected to his council seat in 2003 and again in 2006. His brother Doug Ford, Jr. is currently a Toronto city councillor. Ford's father Doug Ford, Sr. was also a politician and served as MPP. The Ford family owns Deco Labels, a multi-national labelling and printing firm based in Etobicoke.
During his political career, Ford has been the subject of a number of personal and work-related controversies and legal proceedings, including a conflict of interest trial that nearly removed him from office. In 2013, he became the subject of allegations of substance abuse, which were widely reported in the national and international media. These allegations continued amidst a 2013 Toronto Police Service investigation which includes Mayor Ford. These allegations were eventually admitted by Ford, who said he did use crack cocaine "probably in one of my drunken stupors".
Following the controversy surrounding Ford's admitted substance abuse and further allegations of inappropriate conduct, Toronto City Council voted on November 15, 2013 to remove certain mayoral powers from Ford and grant them to Deputy Mayor Norm Kelly for the remainder of Ford's term. Further motion passed on November 18, 2013 by City Council resulted in the further reallocation of powers from Ford to Kelly.

Born in Etobicoke in 1969, Ford is the youngest of four children (Doug, Kathy, Randy and Rob) of Ruth Diane (n?(C)e Campbell) and Douglas Bruce Ford, Sr. Ford, Sr. was the founder of Deco Labels and Tags, which makes pressure-sensitive labels for plastic-wrapp
