What is Stewart Copeland's net worth? Stewart Copeland's net worth is $80 million dollars. Born in Alexandria, West Virginia, Stewart Copeland moved around quite a bit as child. He spent part of his childhood in Egypt and parts of the Middle East. In the mid-50s, his family settled in Beirut, Lebanon, and he attended an American school there, before moving to England, where he went to high school. He moved back to the United States for college, and subsequently graduated from UC Berkeley. He began studying percussion and drumming when he was in early teens, and after college, he took a job as a road manager for a British band. After a year as their road manager, however, he became their drummer instead. In the late 70s, he founded a band with Sting and Henry Padovani called The Police. The line-up for the police shifted soon after formation, with the departure of Henry Padovani, and the inclusion of Andy Summers. The group became one of the most famous bands of the 80s. In addition to his work with The Police, he released a number of singles under the name Clark Kent, and has become a very successful soundtrack composer, while also drumming for multiple bands.

Stewart Armstrong Copeland (born July 16, 1952) is an American musician, best known as the drummer for the band The Police. During the group's extended hiatus from the mid-1980s to 2007, he played in other bands and composed soundtracks. Copeland was ranked by a Rolling Stone magazine reader poll in 2010 as the fifth greatest drummer of all time.
Copeland was born in Alexandria, Virginia, the youngest of four children of CIA officer Miles Copeland, Jr. and Scottish archaeologist Lorraine Adie. The family moved to Cairo, Egypt a few months after his birth, and Copeland spent his formative years in the Middle East. In 1957, the family moved to Beirut, Lebanon and Copeland attended the American Community School there. He started drum lessons at age twelve and by age thirteen he was playing drums for school dances. Later he moved to England and attended Millfield from 1967 to 1969. Copeland went to college in California, attending United States International University and UC Berkeley. Returning to England, he worked as road manager for the progressive rock band Curved Air's 1974 reunion tour, and then assumed drumming duties for the band during 1975 and 1976.
In 1977, Copeland founded The Police with singer-bassist Sting and guitarist Henry Padovani (who was soon replaced by Andy Summers), which became one of the top bands of the 1980s. The Police early track list was mostly made of Copeland's compositions, including "Kids to Blame" (previously recorded with Curved Air), "Nothing Achieving", "Landlord", "Dead End Job", "A Sermon" and the band's first single Fall Out (Illegal Records, 1977). As Sting started writing more material, Copeland's contribution was gradually reduced to a couple of songs per album. During his tenure with the band, Copeland occasionally performed lead vocals duties, as in "Does Everyone Stare" and "On Any Other Day" from Regatta de Blanc (1979).
